Comeback Road.
That's right, I'm back (almost)!
Well, it's been a particularly lousy year for just about everybody so far. My first year in my new house didn't go quite as I'd hoped, what with COVID-19 and my mother being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Being the Halloween season, it's appropriate that I kinda feel like Louis Creed from Pet Sematary.
But personal tragedy aside, it was also the failing of my old laptop computer that forced me to cease DA activity. Last week I purchased a new Lenovo Ideapad 3 during a Prime Day sale and it's from that very computer that I'm writing this journal entry. I haven't got it fully configured yet, nor have I managed to import all my essential software. Assuming it will run on Windows 10, otherwise I may have to acquire newer versions. 
But once I've got this sucker running exactly as I'd like it, I plan to resume commission activity in the near future. I appreciate everyone's understanding for my abrupt suspension of commission services as well as your patience as I've been working through this painful period in my life. I can't give an exact time frame, but I'll update my journal to let you all know when everything's A-Go.

I'm sorry to have to discontinue my commission services, especially since I already promised several individuals that I would make time for their requests shortly.
But my family has suffered a serious tragedy in the last few days and it may be some time before I can resume creating art. Days. Weeks. Months. I can't say for sure when I'll be back to work.
But I want to thank everyone who commissioned, faved, commented and requested my work. It's been a great experience!
2020 Commissions and My New House!
Well, I'm sad to say that last year's cartoon commission sale was a bust, but c'est la vie!
This year I'm back to doing normal per-request commissions with no special discounts based on themes.
I've also organized my gallery somewhat (to the extent that DA allows me to, anyway) and done away with the old chronological format. Though the folders are still newest to oldest for the most part.
I've been noticeably inactive for the last couple of months because I've been busy moving into my new house. That's right! I've given my psycho landlord the finger and went and purchased a home with my brother, and despite the expenses, the insanity and the fatigue... life is a lot sweeter.
We now have a place for all (or most) of our stuff (I'll photograph our collection of geekdom later) and I finally have my own room again. I know that sounds nuts, but I've been sleeping on couches for the better part of 15 years due to space limitations. It's a little weird having a room of my own again and I'm not quite sure how I'd like to set it up. At some point I'd like to bring in a proper desk & chair and replace my failing laptop so I can maximize my artistic productivity. But I've got about 30 years to pay off my mortgage, so that'll give me a lot of time to think about my preferences. LOL!

You know what I don't draw enough of? Cartoons!
It's time to do something about that! So I'm having a sale on cartoon-themed commissions! Any commission based on or inspired by a TV cartoon, web cartoon, animated film, etc. Everything from pencil drawings to fully-rendered digital colored art.
While I have a preference for animation made prior to the 21st Century, I'm willing to draw any subject derived from a cartoon. Though, I think I'm going to prohibit anime-themed commissions for this sale, though I may make an exception for anime that have been "localized" in the past (Pokemon, DBZ, Voltron, Speed Racer, etc.).
Speaking of Pokemon, this sale will apply to cartoons based on video games, but I will insist on drawing them in their respective cartoon styles (Sonic SatAM, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Captain N, MegaMan, etc.).
For those interested in commissioning group images, I'm charging by the character this time around. The flat rate applies unless secondary characters require less-than-equitable time and effort to include, in which case an additional discount may be applied.
As usual, my guidelines regarding "fetish art" are enforced, but certain exceptions can be made provided the content isn't too distasteful.
