Because children will buy anything as long as you dress it up like a stuffed animal.

I did something extraordinary today. I watched a TV channel for three consecutive hours. And besides movies on television and baseball games, I never, EVER watch the same channel for more than two hours. It's impossible. No channel has a lineup with that many consecutive quality time slots. That is, until I was watching The HUB today and was treated to an hour of Batman TAS and Superman, and hour of Animaniacs and an hour of Tiny Toon Adventures. It felt like Kids WB in it's prime.

But I kept seeing these commercials for these stupid products. Pillows dressed like stuffed animals, seatbelts dressed like stuffed animals,nightlights dressed like stuffed animals, flashlights dressed like stuffed animals, chairs dressed like stuffed animals, backpacks dressed like stuffed animals...

Apparently there's a company out there who makes all these things (I'm pretty sure they're interconnected somehow). A company that took the Build-A-Bear concept and blew it completely out of proportion. I guess it's just easier to sell your product when you're telling young, impressionable customers what they want rather than trying to convince them.

So I got to thinking, what else could you dress up like an animal and sell to kids? And voila!

I'm calling the patent office in the morning about these. $$$$$$$$$$$$
